SOUNDCREAM LIGHT | SERVING FOURTEEN.
SoundCream Light is a bubbly, bright mixture of house, tech house, nudisco, grooves and tunes.
Music for Sundays, 2p-10p.
Serving Fourteen of SoundCream Light features fresh work from some great artists you need to know. Starting with Jesus Montanez, his dance anthem with Jeanie Tracy has been topping the charts and shows lighter side to this DJ/Producer who has become a tour de force on the international circuit. I remember first seeing him play a pool party at Ascension in 2017 and instantly recognizing that he would do great things. You are sure to hear, “Dance 4 Your Life,” at tea dances all summer.
You will hear two new IDs released last month, “Deeper Love,” by Niko the Kid and, “Turn Me Deeper,” feat. Kathy Brown from Mark Knight, wh0, and James Hurr. The iconic vocalist Kathy Brown is currently battling stage 4 cancer, and Toolroom Records posted this note about the record with its release:
“We are immensely proud to be releasing this record. Following the tragic news that legendary US vocalist Kathy Brown is fighting stage 4 cancer, we wanted to give something back to an artist who musically we have all grown up with, and respect greatly.
With that in mind, we have decided to release this record with all profits going to Kathy’s ‘GoFundMe’ campaign to help pay for her health care fees. All the original writers have allocated all publishing earnings, with the artists and Toolroom also pledging all of their royalties, in the quest to get Kathy back on the road to a full recovery.
The record itself oozes fun and good times, which is what Kathy’s music has always been about. Wh0, Mark Knight & James Hurr provide the backing whilst Kathy’s iconic ‘Turn Me Out’ vocal rides away effortlessly over the top.” - Toolroom Records
The freshest track you will hear this month is the hot and nasty, “Metallurgency,” from the one and only Rimarkable. It has been a joy to watch the continued rise of this artist and I’m always ready for more. If you ever see this name on the lineup, you go and hear for yourself. I also have to shout out Brady Prince for, “In This House,” which I have loved dropping into sets recently. He has been making the rounds across the country as well as releasing productions with the record label by Karsten Sollors, sollors systems. Clearly this serving is full of flavor to keep you grooving through the final stretch of winter. Follow your light to spring and we will see each other on the other side. Enjoy.
