BRADY PRINCE.
Brady Prince began showing up on my radar in 2023, and quickly became one to watch, especially as he began expanding his producer skills. His work in the studio is a favorite in my catalog, and often requested to include in sets. That fire caught quickly on the national stage as he was recruited from his home base in Chicago to lend his strong percussive style to the full circuit of major events and places to be. His residencies with CircuitMom and the national tour of BRÜT along with multiple appearances at Eagle NYC, Chill Bar Palm Springs, and his recent headlining set for Real Bad 36 in San Francisco have introduced him to many discerning ears.
He most notably opened Sunday night’s crescendo event of Winter Party Festival, Masterbeat’s Odyssey at M2 Miami. He continues to build his name as a producer with recent collaborations on Eddie Martinez’s new record label, BODYCTRL, as well as his latest EP due in June, which we already know is going to be major. His preview collab with Joshua Ruiz, “Ain’t Got No Worry,” is testament to that. Get into our quick chat as Prince prepares to bring his drumbeat to a city near you.

DXD: How would you best describe your sound?
BP: It’s hard to pick specific genres because I like to experiment and try new things in my productions all the time. If I could use labels that I love as examples that I think best describe my sound, I would have to say it is like Toolroom, HotL Records, and Realm had a child.
DXD: How did you get your start in nightlife?
BP: I got my start in nightlife in my late teens and early 20s working and going out in the clubs in Chicago. I’ve had a fake ID and a beard since I was 14, so when I graduated high school early I was able to hit the clubs right at 18. Things changed later as I fell really deep into the hard drug side of nightlife and got lost for years, but then I got sober and resurfaced.
DXD: Your musicality stems from being a drummer in bands in Chicago. Take us through that evolution to where you are now.
BP: I was in a couple of bands here in Chicago and played at a lot of local venues. My music background started when I was a young boy picking up drumsticks wanting to be a drummer and I also had a strong interest in electronic music. I went to school for percussion, studying music performance. During this time in school and being in bands, I fell in love with dance music and dance culture, which is when I started learning how to produce and DJ.

DXD: You recently had the honor of opening Masterbeat’s Sunday night Odyssey event of Winter Party Festival. Tell us about that experience and how you are feeling after?
BP: The experience was out of this world. Being able to debut at Winter Party was a dream already, but to also play at M2 with Masterbeat was breathtaking. It was one of the best parties I have ever played.
DXD: Last year, you were able to spotlight your drumming during a solo at CircuitMom’s RockStar Drama during Market Days 2025. How did it feel to collide your worlds in that moment at Aragon Ballroom, especially as you look forward to spinning a proper set at this year’s Market Days?
BP: It felt great! Being able to drum on stage was such an incredible experience. It brought back a lot of memories.
DXD: You have notably been able to share your sound throughout the country with BRÜT. What has been a highlight for you?
BP: One of the highlights has been getting to know other DJs and producers who were once legends to me and becoming friends with them. I also work with many other producers around the continent and have residencies in big cities.
DXD: You have also made a name for yourself as a producer with a steady release of originals and remixes. Do you have a particular track that holds special significance for you?
BP: Yes, I do – my “Hide U” remix with Eliad Cohen and Meital De Razon. I love my production of the song because it definitely shows the sound that I love while keeping it original.
DXD: With all that you have accomplished, what is a goal you look forward to next?
BP: Releasing my 10-song EP, “Dissonant,” on June 1, including multiple artist collaborations and two remixes. You can preview three of the originals on my Soundcloud right now.
DXD: It’s Saturday night and you’re not working. Where are you at to have a good time?
BP: I'm either with my Sir relaxing at home or enjoying our beautiful city, Chicago, or sitting in my studio making music.
DXD: Three things you love seeing at parties?
BP: Diversity, sobriety, and NO phones. And Daddies.
